Our Story

As an allergist, I was frustrated by the status quo when it came to the management of food allergies.

"You're allergic. Don't eat it.
Here's an EpiPen.

See me in a year,
so I can tell you the exact same thing."

I was peddling fear instead of hope.
Until I decided to make a change.

What is The Food Allergy Fix?

The Food Allergy Fix is an integrative and evidence-based approach to food allergen desensitization, providing education and tools to empower families living with life-threatening food allergy.

The Program

Food Allergen Desensitization is an immunomodulatory treatment that harnesses the power of a patient's own immune system to gradually increase tolerance to foods to which the patient is hypersensitive. Combining treatment protocols with optimization of gut health, nutrition, mental health, and underlying allergic conditions improves both the safety and efficacy of this procedure and can open up a new world of freedom for patients living with life-threatening food allergy.

The Books

"The Food Allergy Fix: An Integrative and Evidence-Based Approach to Food Allergen Desensitization" was the first book by a board-certified allergist to be published on the subject of sublingual and oral immunotherapy for food allergies. It launched as a #1 best-seller on Amazon and has served as a guidebook to countless families as they pursue food allergy treatment with their physicians.

"Zippy: A Story about Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) for Food Allergies" is a children's book that explains the concept of food allergen desensitization to young readers through the story of an aspiring race car who is allergic to racing fuel. It includes a free discussion guide for parents and caregivers.

"The Food Allergy Fix OIT Cook Book" is coming soon, and will include recipes and tips on how to easily incorporate food allergens into the family diet, with a focus on good nutrition.

The App

The Food Allergy Fix mobile application is a secure digital dosing record and safety-optimization tool for food allergen desensitization. The mobile app is customized with the user's treatment protocol, dosing rules, and emergency plan. It is linked to a web-based provider portal which enables the allergy care team to keep track of patients' progress and make adjustments as necessary.
